Sweetly is an encyclopedic reference to the notes and ingredients behind perfumery. Each profile explains where a note comes from, how it smells, how it is extracted, and what it is classically paired with.

What we cover

Every note profile follows the same seven-part structure: an overview, source and origin, scent character, use in perfumery, classic pairings, historical and cultural context, and a short set of frequently asked questions. Alongside each article we publish a concise “scent profile” card with the source, olfactive family, pyramid position, scent character, extraction method and classic pairings.

How we write

Content is researched from widely available perfumery references and written in a neutral, factual tone. We describe notes and their use for general reference only; Sweetly does not publish brand marketing, prices, or health and wellness claims.
